Take time to consider the kind of accommodation that you'll want to be staying in before and after the challenge. A number of choices are available, but on the small country roads around these mountains, travel is slow, and you don't want to travel more than ten or fifteen minutes after this kind of exertion.
Given the nature of the National Three Peaks, it often attracts many who are perfectly comfortable camping wild both the night before and night after, and this is supprisingly popular - but don't do this if you're not adiquately prepared. After the challenge you'll probably be pretty tired, some people so much so that they may not be able to physically put the tent up.
